Outside where the Malinches Grow (Photo Day 6)

When I first moved to Granada in June, 2011, this tree at the back of El Puente was one of the first things to greet me. With its brilliant orange flowers, the malinche tree me of autumn in the States…particularly when the flowers fell, covering the ground like a soft carpet. I am beginning my 3rd summer in Granada, and like a faithful friend, my malinches have returned. This picture was taken before Kylie’s going away party last week…the combination of sky, land, and orange took my breath away…gently reminding me once again why I love this town and what I do. Image
